His full name is Remington of Riverbend. We bought him as a yearling . At that time he was a "Dainty" 17 hands. That measures at a mere 5 feet 6 inches at the withers. We fed, nurtured, and put up with his never ending personality for 5 years before asking him to work for a living Christmas 2005. At that point he measured just under 19.3hands. A little over 6 feet 7 inches at the withers. That was then..  This is now!  He is now a Guinness world book record holder for 2009 and 1010 at just 1/2 in. over 20 hands and weighing in right about 3000 lbs. I weighed him at a truck stop.  Imagine that stepping on your foot.

We knew the day we first heard of him through friends, that he was special, but never really thought that this horse could be ours. As luck would have it, after losing him to someone else at the National Clydesdale Sale, we found and bought him some months later.

I have been told there has never been a registered Clydesdale  as big as he. That would make my partner Cheryl the owner of "THE WORLDS TALLEST LIVING CLYDESDALE", and  A GUINNESS WOLD BOOK RECORD HOLDER "TALLEST LIVING HORSE IN THE WORLD", and me the very privileged trainer/driver of this magnificent horse. Someday, I may be brave enough to ride him, but for now I just tell people I am afraid of heights!!

Remington at the "BIG D HORSE SHOW" bringing in the judges.  Look at this photo you will see that he actually dwarfs the carriage. This Holiday season he has his very own vehicle.  He will be taking our holiday guests on his own "HUV" (Horsedrawn Utility Vehicle). This is the 8 to 10 person wagonette.

One day about 6 months after his arrival I took a rare day off the property just because.. It was my birthday, and I thought so what!!! Apparently so did he: Because upon my arrival home, he greeted me by galloping around the lot with his new toy. An 18 ft tall tree that he had chewed off about a foot from the ground. Now,.... I miss the tree; but how can you be mad at a puppy like that????? I will always have the memory of Remi playing with his stick..... GO FETCH REMI  !!!!!
